Cutting your hair does not make it grow faster or thicker. It's a girl thing. They've been saying that for years %26amp; years.

THEY SAY CUTTING THE TIP MAKES IT GROW BECAUSE AFTER YOU DO SO THE EDGES ARE OPEN SO WHEN YOU PUT CONDITIONER IN IT NEXT IT WILL GET REALLY REALLY CONDITIONED CAUSE IT WILL ACTUALLY GO INTO THE HAIR SINCE THAT EDGES ARE OPEN BUT AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS THEY CLOSE UP AGAIN

Split ends work their way up your hair, if you leave them unattended for too long they just keep travelling up and eventually all the hair (as far as it has travelled) will have to be cut off.
Controlling split ends means they wont travel up the hair and you can just keep growing your hair without having to cut the ends...if that makes any sense.
If hair is grown from the root of you hair then why do people say cutting do tips of hair makes you hair grow?
Well overtime I think it technically is somewhat true. If you don't trim it, the ends split and then when you do go in for a trim, you'll lose more than if you'd trimmed the split ends off over time.
Add to that a dash of salons drumming up business.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle :)
If hair is grown from the root of you hair then why do people say cutting do tips of hair makes you hair grow?
No, this is simply a myth. What it can do is ensure that you take car of any new split ends that are threatening to move up the hair shaft.
Cutting your hair does not make it stronger or thicker. That is just another myth. To make it stonger, you have to take care of your diet, pay attention to the products that you use, and just as importantly, the treatment your hair receives. Too often, we give this very little consideration.

TO GROW HAIR WE HAVE TO DO SO MANY THINGS. OUT OF WHICH, "CUTTING THE TIPS" IS ONE. BUT YOU CUT THE TIPS IF THERE IS SPLIT ENDS SPLIT ENDS DO NOT GET GROWTH.
SIMPLY CUTTING THE TIPS WILL NOT HELP HAIR GROWTH.
EVEN THEN TRIMMING OCATIONALY IS GOOD BECAUSE THE TIPS MAY BE TAPERING AND UNHEALTHY.

u must cut ur ends because- split ends tend to keep on splitting all the way "up" ur hair shaft, and if that happens then u won't ever have healthy hair.

Just take a vine for example. If we don't pune the vine. It soon will be lifeless and dry up. So does our hair. if we do not trim our hair it will be lifeless and split hair will haunt you.
