Cutting my own hair.......?

I know it sounds extreme, but I already started and did my bangs and everyone said I did an awesome job and it looks professional.

I really want the scene look, and my mom won't bring me to get my hair cut, so I'm going to cut it all myself, and with the help of my friends.

Any ideas on techniques to cut layers myself?

Well this is what I do:

I make little sections in my hair according to layers and put ponytail holders on them. I work on one part of my head at one time. I take the ponytail holders down one by one and flatiron my hair in each ponytail and then cut it after i flatiron it.

I would probably stop now(unless it was really bothering you so much that you have to cut it)

The back of your head is probably the hardest,layering is going to be even harder.

But if you really want to cut your hair,layering is pretty much just making some parts of your hair shorter. I'd probably leave the inside of your hair long and make the outer side short and layered.
