Should I color my hair before or after cutting off my dead /split ends?

My hair is naturally dark brown i was coloring it Jet Black for a long time and its grown out alot. I would like to color it Hoeny Blonde by Dark %26amp; Lovely but I don't know if i should cut it before or after i color. I figured i should cut it first to get rid of all the dead / split ends and my hair would be more healthy and look better when i color it...Please Advise...THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. ;)

Whenever I go the salon they color first then cut because the coloring proces opens the haircuticles and dries it out a bit. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Cut your hair to remove split ends first so the dye takes more evenly.
