Why does the barber always wash & condition your hair before cutting it off ?

Because it relaxes the hair and makes it easier for them to cut and comb it properly. Dry hair is also very itchy when it lands on their arms and your neck and face, and is harder to brush off. Also, it floats in the air more easily and you would both be breathing it. If you just wet the hair, it becomes sticky and hard to comb, so they wash and condition it.

Because dirty hair doesn't fall properly and the hairdresser can't make even cuts if the dirty hair is sticking together.

YOu may have dirty hair. you can request them not to do it. they probably charge you every time they do wash your hair
