I have wavy and bouncy hair that gets very messy in the wind (that was so you knew what itbehaved like). What hair cut would you suggest when I go to the salon next week?
Cutting wavy hair!?
I have wavy hair too, and mine grows super fast. The one thing I would recommend is do NOT get bangs unless you want to straighten them everyday.
I've found (after tons of trial and error) that the best cut for me is to have layers because if my hair is all one length it turns into one big, wide bottomed triangle. If you layer it throughout it looks more consistent, and amps up your natural texture.
Avoid any kind of haircut that requires you to blow dry, and you might want to specifically ask the stylist not to blow out your hair when he/she styles it so you can see how to do it yourself. Blow drying curly hair just makes it frizzy and damaged.
For the best texture, blot your wet hair after shampooing and conditioning to remove excess water, then put a small amount of a frizz-reducing, moisturizing cream (frizz-ease and V05 both make good products) through your hair (for shoulder length hair you only need about the size of a nickel). If you like, spray on a shine serum, and you are ready to go- shiny, bouncy locks without the frizz.
Cutting wavy hair!?
I agree 100% with the first answer!!! Blow dring with frizz and damage your hair. It will damage ANY hair type not just curly!!
