Start cutting less, little at a time.. do not do to much at one time, less is more remember you can judge, better on how much to cut but cutting less, Try to cut the same way you cut on all the hair, hold the hair between you index and middle finger and left up on it and then useing your scissors cut the hair as I said a little is a lot keep checking process until the right length of desire.
If all else fails grab the shaver and shave his head lol.. good luck.
