My hair was naturally nice and smooth. Lately in the last couple of years it has gotten dry and quite frizzy due to the use of gel. Will going bold for about two months make it good again?

if you use gel, its same thing.
if you re sure that is cause by gel, you don't wanna use it.
maybe wax or clay.
