I want to join the police force but it is against my will and heritage to cut off my hair.

Well if you were native american theres always the tribal police. Undercover work would seem ideal but I don't know if you can get in with no prior military/law enforcement skills though.

try wearing one of those fake skin things to cover all your hair (used in movies to make you look bald). Although a point of army and law enforement is to conform to the standard that they set fourth.

I don't know of any academies that let you keep your hair.
