How could cutting you hair more often help it grow faster?

hair gets cut at the end and it actually grows at the root??? so how does that work???

How could cutting you hair more often help it grow faster?

The dead ends make it unhealthy %26amp; your scalp won't 'thrive' nearly as much

it is true your hair grows from the roots however your hair can break from split ends. keeping your hair trimmed keeps the ends healthy so they don't break

trimming your hair helps to get rid of the dead matter at the ends of your hair. this helps to make your hair lighter so it's easier to grow.

thats a lengthy process but you should trim half a mil every 2 months to prevent breakage and it helps your hair growe faster also take silica vitamins and ask the dealer at your local health store for a good vitamin to make your hair longer and stronger

it doesn't it's an old wives tale.

Cutting your hair DOESN"T make it grow faster at all. Cutting your hair keeps all the mature (old) hair off. I mean hair that youv'e blown dry, combed, and brushed the longest. That hair is more prone to breakage and damage. By cutting that hair, you don't experience the breakage that you normally get.

Cutting your hair takes off all the ends that are split due to enviourmental exposure. The ends are and look much fresher and no more splits.

I've never heard that cutting your hair makes it grow faster but maybe it does. What I do know is the shorter the thicker.Like for example my sis has really thick hair, so thick it used to give her headaches and it took at least 3 days to dry.my mom thought cutting it would help the headaches and such so she tried it after it was cut it made it worse. She consulted the stylist and the stylist informed her that "the shorter the thicker" and said really the only thing that would help was thinning my sisters hair.So she did. But get this she had to thin it 4 times, and it still wasn't exactly thin, but it wasn't so thick either, but 4 TIMES! LOL.

P.S trimming your hair gets rid of dead ends and splits that hold up the hairs growing process.
