I have curly hair, and it's kind of thick. I would like to be able to cut it as short as possible. But then again I want it to look cute. Does anyone have any opinions as to what I should do with it? (Pictures would be nice, but you don't have to put them with your answer.)
Anyone out there know anything about cutting hair?
i would say to be on the safe side go to the salon for a cute cut

I love to cut thick curly hair!!!! Have you seen the cute short pixie's? Like Jamie Lee Curtis? Go for that with fringe sides and on the back of the neck the fringes or whispies make it soft and feminine.

Curly hair can be tricky when styling for shorter looks because it usually doesn't look the same from day to day. The curls sometimes have a mind of their own. The best advice I can professionally give to you is to find a stylist who works well with curly hair, and shorter curly hair. Book a consultation with them first to talk to them about ideas. A lot the length is going to depend upon just how much you spring up when any weight, length is cut off. When cutting hair shorter with a texture such as yours I always frame the face first so the client can see just how short the shape is going to wind up. Best of luck.
