Suggestions for cutting hair?

I have nice hair that is long, thick and curly. I want to let my hair down but first i want to cut it. Any suggesstions on a style that i can cut my hair that is taimable and can be tied into a pony tail. I dont want to cut it too short bc my dad will get mad. Im 15 and i want my hair to look better. Please help picutres would help a lot and links.

well i think you could get a shoulder lengt cut. i used to have long wavy hair and it was very think too. i just got it cut not to lonng ago and it came out really pretty. try to get it cut past your shouldes and this way you can see how it looks and then to you make it shorter if you want.

If you have curly hair, it doesn't make a difference what type of cut you get. and especially that is thick. But you can straighten it out nd have a stylish look!!!!

first, go to a good salon/stylist. then, tell your stylist what you want (be able to tie it into a pony tail...etc.) and ask them what cut they could do keeping in mind what you want and also your face shape and what would look best for it. also, it might be helpful to tell them what kind of trend you follow (prep, emo, ghetto, "trendy"...etc.).
