I am looking a recent up to date book on cutting hair into modern styles. It could be online or otherwise. Does anyone know where I can find one. Basically looking for a how- to- cut -hair book.

Try a Cosmetology Book.Maybe some of your friends know someone who has gone to Beauty School and has an old book you can borrow.Look at Beauty Supply Stores too.
